About Dum Event

The London Exhibition Stand Company Behind Your Show.

You have a date that will not move. We are the people who take everything between now and that date off your desk: the drawings, the venue paperwork, the production and the crew standing on the stand at seven on opening morning. Seventeen years of exhibition-industry experience sits behind that, and our project manager travels with every international build.

Why We Exist

The Stand Should Never Become Your Problem

Dum Event is built on more than seventeen years of exhibition-industry experience, and on one standard: every client is handled as though they are the only one on the books.

Our rule is short. Your job is not to deal with the exhibition stand. That is our job. You focus on your product, your meetings and your visitors, and at the exhibition you are our guest.

In practice, that means three things.

  • We ask questions before we draw, because a stand designed on assumptions is a stand that misses the brief.
  • We tell you when a brief and a budget do not line up, at the point where it can still be fixed rather than three weeks out.
  • And when something goes wrong on site, which in this industry it sometimes does, we solve it first and work out whose fault it was afterwards.

Exhibition stands are most of our work. Events and hospitality belong to the same company and the same way of working.

We are not here to sell you a stand. Once we are in a project, we are in it with you until the last panel comes down.
Dum Event · How We Work
What We Do

Exhibitions, Events and Hospitality

Three areas, one team and one project manager. You can take all of it or only the part you actually need; every scope is set by its own brief and budget.

Exhibition Stands

Bespoke wooden construction and DUM FLEX modular stands, from the first brief through design, venue approvals and installation to dismantle. This is where most of our work sits.

Events

Concept, design, production and operations for conferences, product launches, brand activations and festivals. Full scope from end to end, or the specific pieces you are missing.

Hospitality

Catering, event staffing, meet-and-greet and registration personnel and event transfers, built into a stand or an event where the guest experience needs them.

How We Operate

Managed From London. Produced Regionally.

Your design, your technical drawings, your venue submissions and your project management all originate in one place: London. That is where the studio, the warehouse, the graphics workshop and the DUM FLEX stock sit.

Production is a different question. For a build in Riyadh or Dusseldorf, sending a stand the length of a continent helps nobody. So the build runs through workshops that work exclusively for Dum Event and under Dum Event control, as close to your show as the project allows. Those same workshops and offices give us people on the ground, so when something needs solving during the build, the answer is minutes away rather than a flight away.

The part that does not move is who is answerable to you.

Our project manager travels from HQ to every international build. Not most of them, and not the difficult ones only. Local teams execute; the person responsible for your project is there on site with them.

How a Project Runs

From Brief to Dismantle, One Person Answerable

The same four stages whether the stand is 20 m² or a national pavilion, and whether it is built bespoke or on a modular frame.

01Stage One

Discovery

What the show has to achieve for you, who you need to meet on it, what you are launching and how you want visitors to move. Area does not decide function; your objective does.

02Stage Two

Design and Costing

A free 3D concept and a properly costed proposal. If the brief and the budget do not meet, you hear it here rather than after the drawings are signed.

03Stage Three

Technical and Venue

Structural detailing, organiser submissions, rigging and services applications, all worked from the current venue manual rather than from memory of the last show there.

04Stage Four

Build, Show, Dismantle

Production, installation, handover before you arrive, technical support through the show days and a dismantle that leaves the space as the organiser expects it.
