f.re.e Munich: five leisure worlds under one roof
f.re.e is not a single-topic show. Travel, caravanning, cycling, water sports and outdoor gear all sit under the same roof, and a stand here has to hold its own next to a caravan on one side and a paddleboard demo on the other.

The organiser groups f.re.e into five themed areas – travel, caravanning & camping, cycling, water sports, and outdoor & fitness – spread across seven exhibition halls at Messe München. The show has run since 1970, and the 2027 edition takes place 10–14 February at the Munich exhibition centre.
The scale: holidaymakers, not trade buyers
Combined with the International Motorcycle Exhibition IMOT and Munich Auto Days on a shared ticket, the 2026 edition brought together more than 900 exhibitors from around 50 countries and over 130,000 visitors, according to the organiser's own final report. 95% of visitors across the combined show rated it excellent to good, and 95% said they would come back the following year – a browsing, buying-minded public, not a fixed list of trade appointments.
One stand, three German cities: why Munich is the third stop
ATG Hospitality did not need a Munich-only stand. It needed one hospitality environment that would hold up at three consumer fairs in three German cities in the same season, with f.re.e's five-theme floor as different a setting as the circuit gets.
Built once, installed three times
We designed a 20 m² Bespoke stand around an illuminated reception, large digital content, vertical lighting elements and planted surfaces, then installed the same stand at f.re.e Munich and its two sister consumer fairs, CMT Stuttgart and REISEN & CARAVANING Hamburg. A different neighbour at every stop
At CMT Stuttgart the stand sits among holiday and caravanning halls; at REISEN & CARAVANING Hamburg it shares a hall complex with four linked shows; at f.re.e Munich it stands alongside cycling, water sports and outdoor gear, plus a combined-ticket audience arriving for IMOT and Munich Auto Days next door. The design stays constant so the brand reads the same in every hall, while the stand build itself is re-adapted to each venue's own technical rules.
One project, not three separate bookings
Design, technical adaptation, production, graphics and digital content, logistics between the three cities, installation, on-site operations and dismantling at each stop are planned and run as a single programme. You brief once; the touring schedule, transport and venue coordination for Munich, Stuttgart and Hamburg are ours to manage.
Applying for a stand at f.re.e Munich
Booking a plot at f.re.e is only the first step; the stand itself is a separate order.
Stand space and stand build are booked separately
The organiser's own exhibitor process books only the stand space at application; stand design, construction and equipment are ordered afterwards, once a placement has been confirmed. For the 2027 edition, placement applications opened on 1 July 2026, and the organiser advises applying early for the best chance at a preferred position – both worth knowing before a design brief is set. Messe München also publishes its own technical guidelines and stand-design conditions for f.re.e, which the build works to for whichever edition you are booked into.
Presenting to a Munich audience without a German office
A brand does not need a Munich base to show at f.re.e. Brief, design and stand management can run from the UK, with the build and installation handled on the ground in Germany.
Brief and design run remotely, on calls scheduled around your hours. The stand is produced at our workshop in Germany and installed in Munich by our team there, with project managers travelling from London to run installation, staffing support and dismantling. If the same stand also books into CMT Stuttgart, REISEN & CARAVANING Hamburg or another German city fair in the same season, we plan the touring schedule and the logistics between venues as one project, not separate bookings.
