Exhibition Stands: Passenger Terminal Expo

Exhibition Stand Builder for Passenger Terminal Expo

Passenger Terminal Expo, now branded PTE World by its organiser, is the airport industry's conference and exhibition for terminal design, passenger experience and airport technology. The 2026 edition ran at ExCeL London; the 2027 edition runs 6–8 April 2027 at RAI Amsterdam. We design and build exhibition stands for it in custom wooden construction or on our DUM FLEX™ frame, from London for the UK edition and through our workshop network for the Dutch one. Our work at the 2026 show: a 54 m² Bespoke stand for Teknik Döküm around full-scale airport conveyor systems, and a 36 m² Bespoke furniture showroom for Sandalyeci.

Built At Passenger Terminal Expo

Our work at Passenger Terminal Expo

Two exhibitors from two different corners of the airport supply chain, built for the same edition at ExCeL London: airport conveyor technology on one plot, contract furniture on another. Open the projects and look at them.

Two Sectors

Conveyor systems on one plot, a furniture showroom on the next

Passenger Terminal Expo draws two kinds of exhibitor: the companies that build what moves bags and people through a terminal, and the companies that fit out the terminal itself. We built for one of each at the 2026 edition.

Teknik Döküm, 54 m²: a frame around the machinery

Teknik Döküm came to ExCeL with full-scale airport conveyor equipment to show, so the stand had one job above all others: give the machinery a clear architectural setting without competing with it. We built a clean white structure with a long open frontage, so the conveyor systems read from the aisle and a visitor could walk straight up to them for a technical conversation. Integrated digital screens carried the product story; the display units themselves and their integration were handled by the client, which is the usual split on a stand built around a working product.

Sandalyeci, 36 m²: a showroom, not a counter

Sandalyeci exhibits contract furniture, and an airport-sector audience wants to sit in the chair, not read about it. Their 36 m² Bespoke stand was laid out as an open showroom: a vertical timber-slat feature wall as a warm backdrop, illuminated branding, an integrated digital screen, and the seating and table collections arranged as a hospitality setting, the way they would sit in a terminal lounge. No enclosed service space, because at this footprint every square metre had to be furniture a visitor could try.

London To Amsterdam

A show that changes city, and a name that changed with it

Passenger Terminal Expo does not sit in one venue, and for 2027 it does not sit under its old name either. Both facts shape how a stand for it is planned.

2026 at ExCeL London, 2027 at RAI Amsterdam

The 2026 edition ran at ExCeL London on 17–19 March 2026, in the N halls, which is where both of the stands above were built. The 2027 edition runs 6–8 April 2027 at RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands. If you are booking into 2027, your stand is going to Amsterdam, and the venue rules, the loading arrangements and the build-up window are RAI's, not ExCeL's.

Passenger Terminal Expo is now PTE World

The organiser, UKi Media & Events, now runs the show under the name PTE World, and the 2027 website carries that name rather than the old one. Most exhibitors still say Passenger Terminal Expo, so we use both names. It is the same event, the same organiser and the same conference running alongside the exhibition floor.

What moves with the show, and what doesn't

Your brief, your design and your project management run from London whichever city the edition lands in. For an Amsterdam build, production runs through the part of our workshop network closest to the venue and our project manager travels from HQ to be on site, so a finished stand is not shipped across the North Sea. For a London edition, the build comes out of the UK and goes in under ExCeL's own rigging, loading and hall rules, which our ExCeL London page covers in full. Our about page describes how that network is structured.

Who Visits

A conference audience walking an exhibition floor

The organiser's own figures for 2027 describe 450+ exhibitors, over 11,000 expo attendees and 2,000+ conference delegates listening to 400+ speakers, with the exhibition and the conference running on the same site across the same three days.

Airports, airlines, authorities and the people who specify for them

The organiser describes the audience as senior airport, airline, aviation-authority and government executives, alongside airport designers and the specifiers of airport-related products and services. In practice that means the person stopping at a conveyor stand may be an operations director from an airport group, and the person sitting in a showroom chair may be the architect specifying a terminal fit-out. Neither is browsing; both are there to compare.

Designing for a delegate who has twenty minutes between sessions

With a 160-hour conference programme running alongside the floor, a large share of the visitors on a stand arrive in the gaps between sessions and leave when the next one starts. We plan Passenger Terminal Expo stands with the product or the demonstration readable from the aisle, a surface or seat a visitor can reach in the first few steps, and a quieter meeting corner behind or beside it for the conversation that follows, sized to the plot rather than added afterwards.

Production

Built around the client's product, finished by our crew

On an airport-technology stand the machinery is the exhibit and the stand is its frame. The sequencing on site has to respect that.

Both stands were built as custom wooden construction, and on both we ran the design, technical and venue coordination, production, graphics and AV coordination, logistics, installation, on-site operations, hospitality and dismantling as one project. The exhibited products on each stand were the client's own. That is the shape of most briefs we take at this show: the exhibitor brings the product, we build the environment it sits in and run the floor around it.

On the Teknik Döküm stand the conveyor equipment and its integration were the client's, and our structure, screens and graphics were built around it, which means the install order, the power and data points and the open frontage are all set from the equipment outward. On the Sandalyeci stand the furniture was the client's and the slat wall, lighting and branding were ours. We run that split as one managed project either way: drawings and venue submissions from London, production in custom wooden construction, our own crew on the install and the strike, and one project manager on the floor for the duration of the show. Our custom wooden construction page covers the build method; for a stand that will travel between the London and Amsterdam editions, our DUM FLEX™ frame is built to come apart and go back together in a new footprint.

Questions

Exhibiting at Passenger Terminal Expo: the questions we get asked

When and where is Passenger Terminal Expo 2027?

6–8 April 2027 at RAI Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The organiser now runs the show as PTE World; dates and venue are published on pte-world.com.

Is Passenger Terminal Expo the same event as PTE World?

Yes. PTE World is the organiser's current name for Passenger Terminal Expo. The conference, the exhibition floor and the organiser, UKi Media & Events, are the same; only the name on the website has changed.

Wasn't Passenger Terminal Expo in London?

The 2026 edition was, at ExCeL London on 17–19 March 2026, and that is where we built the Teknik Döküm and Sandalyeci stands. The 2027 edition moves to RAI Amsterdam. We design to the venue confirmed for the edition you are booked into.

Have you built a stand at Passenger Terminal Expo before?

Yes, two at the 2026 edition: a 54 m² Bespoke stand for Teknik Döküm built around full-scale airport conveyor systems, and a 36 m² Bespoke open showroom for Sandalyeci's contract furniture collections.

Can you build our stand if the show is in Amsterdam rather than London?

Yes. Design, venue coordination and project management run from London as on every project; production for an Amsterdam build runs through the part of our workshop network closest to the venue, and our project manager is on site for the build. See our about page for how that network is structured.

Our exhibit is a working machine. Can the stand be built around it?

Yes, that is what the Teknik Döküm stand was: a clean white structure with a long open frontage framing the client's conveyor equipment, with power, data and screens placed around the machinery. You supply and integrate the equipment; we build the environment and sequence the install around it.

Can the same stand be used for both a London and an Amsterdam edition?

Yes, if it is planned that way from the first drawing. Our DUM FLEX™ frame is designed to come apart, travel and go back together in a new footprint, and a custom wooden build can be designed with the second edition in mind. We will tell you at the design stage which suits a two-edition plan.
