Exhibition Stands: ITB Berlin

Exhibition Stand Builder for ITB Berlin

ITB Berlin runs 16–18 March 2027 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, the world's leading travel trade show for hotel groups, destination boards and travel brands. We design and build exhibition stands for it in custom wooden construction, for hospitality clients and national destinations alike. Our ITB Berlin projects include a 132 m² open-lobby stand for Regnum Hotels, a 125 m² stand for Titanic Hotels, and a 60 m² destination stand for Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality.

ITB Berlin

A trade show built around hotel brands, destinations and travel tech

Since 1966, ITB Berlin has run as the leading platform for the global travel and tourism industry, now drawing more than 100,000 participants from upwards of 190 countries to the Berlin Exhibition Grounds each March.

Who exhibits here

The show is laid out by destination and by market segment, including adventure tourism, business travel, luxury travel, medical tourism and travel technology, so a hotel group's stand sits in a different part of the hall to a destination board's. The 2027 edition runs 16–18 March, with the Maldives as the official host country.

Registering a stand

The organiser's exhibitor registration deadline for the 2027 edition is 1 September 2026, and the minimum booth size is 20 m², with areas rounded up to the nearest square metre (ITB Berlin, Berlin Exhibition Grounds). That registration covers the floor space itself. Design, construction and the install are a separate scope, which is where we come in.

The ITB Berlin Convention runs alongside

The ITB Berlin Convention, described by the organiser as the travel industry's leading think tank, runs on the same site across the same three days, moving trade visitors between the convention stages and the exhibition floor throughout the show. A stand positioned well relative to that traffic flow sees more of it than one tucked into a quieter corner of the hall, which is part of what we look at during venue planning.

Hospitality

Open-lobby hotel stands, built twice for the same brand

Hotel groups don't need a sales counter at ITB Berlin. They need a room their partners want to sit in.

Regnum Hotels and Titanic Hotels

A 115 m² Bespoke stand with an open lobby for Regnum Hotels, followed the next edition by a 132 m² Bespoke stand for the same brand, larger, and built around the same open-plan meeting approach that worked the first time. Coming back to the same concept, at a bigger footprint, is usually a sign the first one did its job.

A 125 m² Bespoke stand for Titanic Hotels followed the same approach: open seating, defined meeting zones and a hosting area, built as a hospitality environment rather than a product display, the layout a hotel group's stand at a travel show tends to need.

Destinations

A destination board's brief reads differently to a hotel's

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality came to ITB Berlin to promote a region, not sell a room night, and the stand had to do a different job.

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, 60 m²

A 60 m² Bespoke destination stand built around presentation and meeting space for a metropolitan municipality's destination-promotion brief, closer to a pavilion than a hotel counter, with room for delegations and local-authority meetings instead of one brand's merchandising. Branding runs at a regional level, not a corporate one, and the stand has to work for a rotating cast of officials instead of one sales team.

Two more hospitality builds at the same show: a 45 m² Bespoke stand for ATG Hospitality and a 35 m² Bespoke stand for Cullinan Belek, both open-lobby exhibition environments built around the same travel-industry hosting approach, just at a smaller footprint.

Production

Managed from London, built for Berlin

A stand for the Berlin Exhibition Grounds does not need to be designed on-site to be built right.

Design, your technical drawings and your venue submissions originate in London, the same as every project we take on. Production for a German show like ITB Berlin runs through a controlled workshop in the region, so a build doesn't carry an unnecessary freight leg, and our project manager travels from HQ to be on site for the build. Design and client contact stay in one place, production sits close to the venue, and that's the same model whether the stand is going to Berlin, Cannes or Dubai. Our about page covers how that network is structured across London, Europe and the Gulf.

Questions

Exhibiting at ITB Berlin: the questions we get asked

When and where is ITB Berlin 2027?

16–18 March 2027, at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, Messedamm 22, Berlin.

What is ITB Berlin?

ITB Berlin is the world's leading travel trade show, bringing together hotel groups, destination boards, tour operators and travel technology companies in Berlin each March.

Have you built a stand at ITB Berlin before?

Yes. Open-lobby stands for Regnum Hotels across two editions and for Titanic Hotels, a destination stand for Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, and builds for ATG Hospitality and Cullinan Belek.

Can you build a destination or tourism-board stand, not just a hotel stand?

Yes. The Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality stand was exactly that: a presentation and meeting space built for a local-government destination brief, not a single hotel brand.

Do you produce the stand in the UK and ship it to Germany?

No. Design and project management run from London, but production runs through a controlled workshop in the region, so the build doesn't travel further than it has to.

Is there a minimum stand size at ITB Berlin?

Yes, the organiser sets a 20 m² minimum booth size, with areas rounded up to the nearest square metre. We've built from 35 m² upward at the show.

Can the same stand design work for a different travel show?

Often, yes, if the stand is built as a reusable system rather than a one-off custom build. That's different to the Bespoke stands on this page, each built around one show's brief. It's what DUM FLEX is designed for: a stand that comes apart and goes back together in a new footprint instead of being rebuilt from scratch.
