Exhibition Stands: Bett UK, ExCeL London

Exhibition Stand Builder for Bett UK

Bett UK runs 20–22 January 2027 at ExCeL London, an education technology show that drew 700+ exhibitors and more than 37,000 visitors from over 130 countries in its 2026 edition. We build exhibition stands at ExCeL, in custom wooden construction or on our DUM FLEX™ frame; our work at this venue includes a 54 m² DUM FLEX stand for Questel, built around live product demonstrations.

Demo-Led Stands

An edtech stand works when a visitor can try the product, not just look at it

Most of Bett's exhibitors are showing software or hardware that visitors need to try with their own hands, and that changes what the stand has to carry.

Power and data to the demo station

A touchscreen a visitor can try, a tablet queue, or a classroom-sized interactive display needs its own power and data run planned at the drawing stage, well before the stand goes into build. We size cable routes and socket counts around the number of demo points in the brief before fabrication starts.

Keeping one stand's demo audio out of the next

A hall full of competing video and audio demonstrations needs sound containment built into the stand, since turning a volume dial down on the day rarely helps once the floor fills up. Acoustic backing panels and directional speaker placement keep a demonstration audible to the visitor in front of it without it carrying into the stand next door.

Room to queue at a demo station

A single interactive screen can hold one visitor's attention for several minutes, which means a second and third visitor are often waiting behind them. We plan a small holding area in front of each demo point so that queue sits inside the stand rather than spilling into the gangway.

The January Calendar

A January show sits on the other side of the Christmas shutdown

Design and sign-off can run through the autumn, but the final weeks of production often fall across the end-of-year break, when many workshops close for two to three weeks.

We plan fabrication backwards from the show date with that closure built in from the start. A design confirmed in November needs most of its build finished before the shutdown begins, since little can be made up once it ends.

Country Pavilions

Bett UK carries a UK Pavilion, and a pavilion stand answers to two briefs at once

A stand inside a national pavilion has to work as part of a shared pavilion identity and as its own exhibitor's identity within it, and those are two different problems in one footprint.

A shared entrance, an individual stand

Everyone inside the pavilion shares a single entrance, a shared colour story and shared signage set by the pavilion organiser; each exhibitor inside it still needs its own stand to read as its own brand once a visitor is standing in front of it rather than walking past the pavilion as a whole.

Our closest pavilion evidence

The closest pavilion work we can point to is a 450 m² Turkiye national pavilion built for London Tech Week, a different show and venue (Olympia London, not ExCeL), though it is the same shared-entrance, individual-stand problem.

Built At ExCeL London

We have not built at Bett UK itself yet — here is our evidence at the same venue

ExCeL London sets its own rigging, vehicle-booking and complex-structure rules independently of whichever show is on the floor; our ExCeL London page covers those in full.

What we have built at this venue

The 54 m² Questel stand at INTA Annual Meeting was built around live product demonstrations on our DUM FLEX™ frame, the closest build in our record to an edtech demo stand's needs. Bett UK has not been one of our projects yet, and we say so plainly instead of implying otherwise.

Three show days, one contact

Bett UK runs over three days with visitor traffic from the first morning. One project manager runs the build from brief to breakdown, filing whatever ExCeL's complex-structure rules require for anything beyond a standard shell.

Questions

Exhibiting at Bett UK: the questions we get asked

When and where is Bett UK 2027?

Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 January 2027 at ExCeL London, published by the organiser on uk.bettshow.com.

Who organises Bett UK?

Hyve Group, the global events company; Bett UK is one of a family of regional Bett shows that also includes Bett Asia, Bett Brasil and Bett USA.

What does Bett stand for?

Bett started in 1985 as the British Educational Technology Show, per the organiser's own FAQ on uk.bettshow.com; the name is now used on its own.

How many people attend Bett UK?

The 2026 edition drew 37,000+ attendees, including 14,000 education decision-makers, and 700+ exhibitors from over 130 countries, per the organiser's published figures.

Does Bett UK have country pavilions?

Yes. A UK Pavilion is confirmed for the show; other national pavilions vary by edition.

Have you built stands at ExCeL London before?

Yes, including a 54 m² DUM FLEX™ stand for Questel at the INTA Annual Meeting. We have not yet built at Bett UK itself; that project is our closest evidence at the same venue.

Does a January show date affect production time?

It can. The final weeks before a January show often fall across the end-of-year shutdown that many workshops observe, so we plan fabrication backwards from the show date with that closure built in.
